The International Financial Services Centres Authority, IFSCA and the Reserve Bank of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration in the field of regulation and supervision of regulated entities.

As per an official statement, the MoU facilitates technical cooperation and exchange of information. The agreement aims to strengthen the safety, stability and soundness of respective financial ecosystems, thereby ensuring conducive environments for optimal business development and economic growth.

National Commission for Women, NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma has said that Digital Shakti Campaign has been accelerating the digital participation of women and girls. 7 ISRO all set to make history by launching 1st-ever private Rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh tomorrow

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to make history by launching first-ever private Rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh tomorrow. Space Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said he will be in Sriharikota to witness the historic maiden private launch of Vikram-suborbital (VKS) rocket.

He said, Vikram Rocket launch will herald a level playing field for cost-efficient satellite launch services by disrupting the entry barriers. The Minister termed it as a major milestone in the journey of ISRO after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unlocked the Space Sector in 2020 for private participation.

8 3-day International Tourism Mart to begin in Mizoram today

The three-day long International Tourism Mart (ITM) will begin in Mizoram this evening. Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development of North East Region (DoNER) G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Tourism Ajay Bhatt, Chief Minister Zoramthanga will grace the inaugural session of the Mart at R. Dengthuama indoor stadium at Mualpui in Aizawl.  

On the eve of the occasion, a Mega exhibition and food court pavilion was opened yesterday by the state Commerce and Industries Minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana at Assam Rifles ground in Aizawl. In the exhibition, hundreds of stalls on local food processing, cuisine, handloom and handicrafts and tourism have been put up.

9 NASA plans to launch Artemis 1 on 16th November 2022 from Florida

The US space agency NASA has said that it plans to launch its new mega Moon rocket mission Artemis 1 tomorrow from Florida. Countdown has already begun at the Kennedy Space Center.

After the two failed attempts, NASA is planning the first launch of the Space Launch System rocket, the most powerful ever designed by it on Wednesday at 06 04 GMT. Artemis 1 will be the first integrated flight test of NASA’s Deep Space Exploration Systems that will enable human exploration to the Moon and Mars.

10 India becomes the world's second largest producer of steel

Union Minister of Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that India has made remarkable progress in the steel sector in the last 8 years. He said, the country which was earlier a net importer of the steel has now become a net exporter. The Minister was addressing the Steel Conference of State governments in New Delhi today. Mr. Scindia informed that  India has also moved from 4th largest producer of steel to the second largest producer of steel at global scale.
 
Speaking about the growth of steel consumption in the country, the Steel Minister added that the per capita steel consumption grew from 57.8 kilogram to 78 kilogram, registering a growth of  50 per cent in the last 8 years. In case of installed capacity of steel, the country has moved from 100 million tonnes a year to almost 150 million tonnes. Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia also informed that the country has registered a tremendous growth in the steel production.
