1 Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurates SARAS AAJEEVIKA MELA, 2022 at India International Trade Fair in New Delhi

Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh has said that the government is trying to connect around 10 crore women with self-help groups by 2024. Mr. Singh said this while inaugurating SARAS AAJEEVIKA MELA, 2022 at India International Trade Fair in New Delhi today. He said, currently around 8.7 crore women are connected with self-help groups. Mr. Singh said, women self Help Group will play a major role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of a five trillion dollar economy.

SARAS Mela is an initiative by Deendayal Antayodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihood Mission to bring the rural women self-help group members in one platform to showcase their skills. It also provides national level exposure to understand the demand and taste of urban customers in metro cities.

2 Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation to organise 'Swachhta Run' across rural India on Nov 19 to mark World Toilet Day

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) will organise 'Swachhta Run' across rural India tomorrow to mark the World Toilet Day. The theme of this year World Toilet Day is Making the Invisible Visible.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti has directed states and union territories to conduct the Swachhta Run at the Gram Panchayat level and involving local heroes, Swachhagraha, ASHA workers, volunteers, youth, school children and local folk artists.

3 NESTS & 1M1B signs MoU to conduct training & capacity-building programs for teachers & students of EMRSs

National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) and 1 Million For 1 Billion Foundation (1M1B)  has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct training and capacity-building programs for teachers and students of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs).

In a statement the Ministry of Tribal Affair said, that the program will also capacitate the teachers and students with Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) skills using the AR-VR skills curriculum launched by CBSE.

4 PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Donyi Polo Airport at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Donyi Polo Airport at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh this morning. It is the first Greenfield Airport in the state. It is equipped with ultra-modern facilities to ensure all-weather operations. The name of the airport is given after Donyi and Polo, i.e. Sun and Moon.  

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a social media post said that the airport will ensure seamless connectivity and ease of access to Itanagar. He said it will give a big boost to trade and tourism and will have a catalytic impact on the economy of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from inaugurating the airport, Mr. Modi will also dedicate the 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station to the nation.

5 ISRO successfully launches first ever private Rocket from Sriharikota

India's first ever private  Vikram Suborbital rocket was launched at 11 30 today from  the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The rocket reached an altitude of 89.5 km with three payloads weighing a total of 83 kilogram.

The rocket safely splashed in the waters of the Bay of Bengal at around 115 km after the lift-off from Sriharikota. Praram, the mission of the rocket has the payloads from Space Kidz India, Bazoomq Armenia and N-Space Tech India and are equipped with sensors for the measurement of acceleration, pressure and others.

9 ISRO to launch the first-ever private Rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today

India's first-ever private launch of Vikram Suborbital rocket will take place at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota today. All arrangements are in place for the rocket to be launched at around 11.30 am. The countdown of the launch will begin at 8.30.

AIR correspondent reports, The Mission Prarambh will carry three customer payloads Space Kidz India, Bazoomq Armenia and N-Space Tech India.

The one stage rocket is equipped with sensors for securing datas including measurement of acceleration and pressure. This mission is a milestone in the history of ISRO.
