The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) today launched startup applications for registration on the MAARG portal, the National Mentorship Platform by Startup India.

The purpose of the application is to provide further boost the startup ecosystem by catalysing the startup culture and building a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India.

MAARG portal, (Mentorship, Advisory, Assistance, Resilience and Growth) is a one stop platform to facilitate mentorship for startups across diverse sectors, functions, stages, geographies, and backgrounds.

A contingent of Indian Special Forces troops are currently engaged in a bilateral joint training Exercise GARUDA SHAKTI with Indonesian Special Forces at Sangga Buana Training Area,in  Karawang. The Exercise is the eighth edition of the series of bilateral exercises under this banner and this is a part of military-to-military exchange programs.

The exercise which commenced on 21st  November 2022 aims at enhancing understanding, cooperation and interoperability between the Special Forces of both armies. 

Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Ministry on Wednesday announced the National Gopal Ratna Awards 2022. The awards will be given to the winners on 26th of this month which will be celebrated as National Milk Day.

The Award has been given in three categories. These categories are, Best Dairy Farmer Rearing Indigenous Cattle and buffalo Breeds, Best Artificial Insemination Technician and Best Dairy Cooperative, Milk Producer Company, Dairy Farmer Producer Organization.

India carried out a successful training launch of an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile, Agni-3 from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha on Wednesday. The successful test was part of routine user training launches carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command. Defence Ministry said that the launch was carried out for a predetermined range and validated all operational parameters of the system.

A pre-launch of India's year-long grand celebration of ‘International Year of Millets 2023 will be held in New Delhi today. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will be attending the event. During the event, the two Ministers will share the vision of the government for successful celebration of International Year of Millets 2023. High Commissioners and Ambassadors to India from more than 60 countries are expected to attend the pre-launch celebration. The key objective is to spread awareness about Indian millets and engage with other nations for a successful global celebration of International Year of Millets 2023.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will grace the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of great Ahom General Lachit Barphukan in New Delhi this evening. The three-day-long event, organized by the Assam government, began in the national capital yesterday.  On the first day, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the exhibition, being organized as a part of the event. Through the mega event, the state government aims to create awareness among the national and international audience about the heroics of the great Ahom commander, who defeated the Mughals in the famous battle of Saraighat. Several events are also being held across Assam to commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan.

The three-day apex-level regional strategic dialogue of the Indian Navy, the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2022 began in New Delhi yesterday. This is an annual international conference that seeks to foster an exchange of ideas and promote deliberations on maritime issues relevant to the Indo-Pacific. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said, India is well prepared to tackle threats in the maritime domain. He emphasized the need to increase the country's maritime capabilities, sustainable management of the nation’s oceanic resources, and boost military capabilities. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral R Hari Kumar outlined the Indian Navy’s outreach in terms of fostering maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific

National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, NIEPA, celebrated the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of its establishment in New Delhi on Tuesday. The Institution is one of the first institutions established in the world in the area of education and planning.

Over the past six decades, the institute has acquired a global reputation as one of the most recognized national institutions in the theory and practice of educational policy, planning and administration.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has distributed appointment letters to new recruits in Gurugram, Haryana under Rozgar Mela. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed Offer of Appointment to 71,000 newly inducted recruits through Video Conferencing at 45 locations across the country. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thakur urged the new appointees to give their best, as this job would not only propel them individually but shall also help India reach its potential. He said, India is at the cusp of exponential growth and this is an opportunity for the new appointees to contribute in taking the nation forward and higher. The Minister said, today 266 youths are getting government jobs in this fair. He said, more than two thousand jobs are being provided through BSF all over the country. 

The fourth edition of the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) will start in Delhi today. IPRD is an apex level international annual conference of the Indian Navy. The National Maritime Foundation is Navy’s knowledge partner and chief organizer of each edition of the event. The theme of IPRD-2022 is the 'Operationalising the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative'.
