India and Israel have launched a commemorative logo to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The logo was unveiled virtually yesterday at an online event in the presence of Ambassador of Israel to India Naor Gilon and Indian envoy to Israel, Sanjeev Singla.

The logo features the Star of David and the Ashoka Chakra- the two symbols that adorn the national flags of both countries- and forms the numeral 30 depicting the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations. This special logo symbolises the strong friendship, love and admiration that exists between the people of the two nations. It also depicts the growing strategic partnership between the two sides.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Sanjeev Singla said, India is proud to mark the 30th anniversary of its bilateral relations with Israel and look forward to using the special logo throughout the year to celebrate this special milestone.

The Prime Minister’s remarks were echoed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah who also spoke at the event about “an attempt to push into oblivion” several personalities from the freedom struggle.

Culture Ministry will organize Rangoli Utsav ‘Umang' on National Girl Child Day tomorrow as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Participating teams will make Rangoli decorations at more than 50 special locations across the country.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

In the event, it is proposed that the participating teams will make Rangoli decorations for about one kilometer of length on the roads and squares that have been named after the female freedom fighters or the female role models of the country.

Louie Anderson, whose more than four-decade career as a comedian and actor included his unlikely, Emmy-winning performance as mom to twin adult sons in the TV series “Baskets,” died Friday. He was 68.
Anderson died at a hospital in Las Vegas of complications from cancer, said Glenn Schwartz, his longtime publicist. Anderson had a a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Schwartz said previously.

Anderson won a 2016 Emmy for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Christine Baskets, mother to twins played by Zach Galifianakis. Anderson received three consecutive Emmy nods for his performance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced that a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose will be installed at India Gate to honour his contribution to the independence movement. Until the installation is completed, a hologram of Netaji will be projected at the site of the statue.

During the function, the Prime Minister would give digital certificates to this year’s winners using Block Chain Technology. The certificates would also be given to winners of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar-2021, who could not be given the certificates last year due to COVID situation. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has said that Block Chain Technology is being used for the first time for giving certificates to awardees of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar.

Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievement in the fields of Innovation, Scholastic achievements, Sports, Arts and Culture, Social Service, and Bravery. These Awards are conferred by the President in a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The Prime Minister also interacts with these awardees every year. The awardees also take part in the Republic Day parade every year. However, in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country, it has not been possible to organize the award ceremony in New Delhi this year.
