Union Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has presented INSPIRE awards to 60 Start-Ups and financial support to over 53 thousand students.

The award is instituted by the Department of Science and Technology and these innovators will be extended complete incubation support for their entrepreneurship journey.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr  Singh said, during the year 2020-21, while the country was battling with the severe impact of COVID-19, the annual INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) competition attracted an unprecedented 6.53 Lakh ideas and innovations from all States.

2 PM Modi to release Cheetahs in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give a historic gift to Madhya Pradesh and the country today after a long gap of 70 years. The Prime Minister will release eight cheetahs brought from Namibia at the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.

This is the world's first transcontinental project to restore large wild animals. Mr Modi will also address a conference of around one lakh women of self-help groups.

AIR correspondent reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch this ambitious project of relocation of cheetahs in the Kuno National Park at around 10.30 am.

4 India takes over SCO rotating presidency, to host SCO summit next year

The rotational presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been handed over to India in Samarkand, Uzbekistan yesterday. Delhi will hold the presidency of the grouping for a year until September 2023. And next year, India will host the SCO summit.

The leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States signed the Samarkand Declaration in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan yesterday. In the declaration, it is stated that the presidency of the SCO for the forthcoming period passes to India. The next meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State will be held in 2023 in India.

During the SCO Summit, the Member States noted the various global challenges and threats including technological and digital divide, continued turbulence in global financial markets, instability in supply chains, increased protectionist measures and uncertainty in the global economy.

5 Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurates, lays foundation stone of 7 NH projects costing over 1128 cr rupees in Gwalior

In Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister of Road transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of seven National Highway projects costing over 1128 crore rupees in Gwalior. The total length of these projects are 222 kilometers.

Addressing the function, Mr Gadkari announced that elevated road of both the phases on Swarn Rekha in Gwalior city will be constructed with state-of-the-art new technology from Malaysia. He further announced that the 6-lane Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway would be connected to Yamuna Expressway and a logistics park would also be set up along the Agra-Gwalior Expressway.

6 NTA declares result for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate

The National Testing Agency(NTA) has declared the result for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2022.

. The exam was conducted in six phases between July 15 and August 30 in 259 cities in the country and 10 cities abroad.

Around 14 lakh 90 thousand candidates had registered for the CUET this year and over nine lakh 68 thousand appeared in the exam. The exam was conducted in 13 languages - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

7 E-auction of gifts presented to PM Narendra Modi to begin tomorrow

The e-auction of gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin tomorrow. The auction will go on till the 2nd of October.

1,222 mementos will be E-auctioned during this period. The mementos include idols of Ganesh, Swami Vivekanand, Ram Mandir Temple, Netaji statue, painting, and sports equipment among others gifted to the Prime Minister.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy said, Mr. Narendra Modi, is the first Prime Minister of the country to auction all the gifts he receives for the noble cause of conserving the river Ganga through Namami Gange. He said, the lowest base price of the gift is 100 rupees and the highest base price is five lakh rupees.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind released a book titled Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer’s Ideas Performer’s Implementation in New Delhi today. The book illustrates life, works and achievements of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. It presents a convergence between the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and New India’s development journey. Focus has been laid on infrastructure, education, socio-economic mobility, gender equality, and self-reliance in the twelve chapters of the book.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kovind said that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's vision of Aatmnirbhar Bharat and India First are being carried forward by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Recalling his visit to the village of Babasaheb Ambedkar, he said that information technology is being used to empower women and depressed sections of society. He added that Mr Modi is a true follower of Babasaheb, and even as Chief Minister of Gujarat, he organised Samvidhan Gaurav Yatra as a mark of respect to Babasaheb.

9 Vinesh Phogat wins bronze in World Wrestling Championships in Serbia

Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian woman wrestler to win two medals at the World Championships after clinching a bronze in 53 kilogram category in Belgrade, Serbia on September 14.

The Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medalist defeated reigning European champion Emma Malmgren of Sweden. It was a remarkable comeback for three-time CWG gold-medalist Vinesh after her shock qualification round defeat as she beat Swedish opponent Malmgren 8-0 in the bronze medal round.

Vinesh had made it to the bronze play-off through the repechage round after losing to Khulan Batkhuyag of Mongolia, in her first bout on Tuesday, September 13.

10 PM Modi greets the nation on the occasion of Engineers Day
