President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Jharkhand starting on 24th May 2023. She will inaugurate the new building of the High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi.

Education Ministry and US Department Launches India-US Working Group on Education and Skill Development
Ministry of Education and US Department of State today launched the India-US Working Group on Education and Skill Development in virtual mode. It aims to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in the field of education and skill development. Joint Secretary for International Cooperation in Ministry of Education Neeta Prasad and US Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu co-chaired the Working Group. The establishment of the India-US Working Group on Education and Skill Development was announced by the leaders on the sidelines of the 22 Ministerial Dialogue held between India and US in Washington DC on 11th April last year. The discussions during the meeting focused on sub-topics of Skilling and vocational education, Certification and Recognition, Matchmaking between U.S. and Indian higher educational institutions, and engaging with the Private Sector. Both sides acknowledged the importance of skilling and vocational education in the industry-centered era.

Today the players from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and other parts of the country arrived at Nizamuddin railway station. They will take part in the competitions which will be held in Gautam Budh Nagar. The Khelo India University games will start on 25th May and conclude on 3rd June. The inaugural function will be held in Lucknow on 25th May in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief guest and he will attend the function virtually. These games will be organized at four places in Uttar Pradesh which are Noida Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi.

In Italian Open final, world number three tennis star Daniil Medvedev clinched his maiden claycourt title after beating Holger Rune last night.
In the men's singles final, the Russian beat the 20-year-old Danish player 7-5, 7-5. It is Medvedev's fifth title of 2023 and victory lifts him above Novak Djokovic to second in the world rankings.
Overall he captured 20 career titles. He will also be the second seed at the French Open, which starts at Roland Garros on 28th of this month.
