The regulation of the import, manufacturing and marketing of veterinary drugs and vaccines comes under the purview of the Central Drug Standard Control Organization under the Ministry of Health

Union Minister Parshottam Rupala on Monday launched a Nandi portal to timely process applications and grant non-objection certification (NOC) for veterinary drugs and vaccines.

The regulation of the import, manufacturing and marketing of veterinary drugs and vaccines comes under the purview of the Central Drug Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) under the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Power, Government of India has set up a dedicated Centre of Excellence to accelerate industry adoption of clean technologies and thus scale up India’s contribution to the global energy transition. Named UTPRERAK, short for Unnat Takniki Pradarshan Kendra, the Centre of Excellence to Accelerate Adoption of Energy Efficient Technologies seeks to play a catalytic role in improving energy efficiency of Indian industry. The Centre, named otherwise as Advanced Industrial Technology Demonstration Centre (AITDC), has been set up by the Bureau of Energy efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, at the Badarpur, New Delhi campus of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Ministry of Power. Union Minister of State for Power, Shri Krishan Pal inaugurated the Centre at NPTI Badarpur, New Delhi today, June 26, 2023.

The Centre is mandated to become the key reference and resource institution on industrial energy-efficient technologies. As its name indicates, the Advanced Industrial Technology Demonstration Centre will demonstrate and showcase energy-efficient technologies in key industry sectors. It will act as an exhibition cum information centre and knowledge repository. It will be a knowledge exchange platform, where best practices from across various key sectors could be diffused among industry professionals through workshops and seminars.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare of the Union Health Ministry on Monday awarded the winner of Kreta Vikreta Gaurav Samman Samaroh 2023 in "Highest Single Bid Procurements in FY22-23" category, The awards event was organised by Government e-Marketplace of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

According to an official release, the awards were organised to celebrate those who share the vision of a transparent, inclusive and efficient public procurement landscape in India.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday honoured the people of the state who fought against the Emergency in 1975 at the Chief Minister's residence in Dehradun. The Chief Minister said, "The dependents of Loktantra Senani will also be given pension fund, for this a government order has been issued. The honorarium of Loktantra Senani has been increased from Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000. He said that arrangements would be made so that everyone can know about the contribution of Loktantra Senani of Uttarakhand during the emergency".

According to the 15th annual ASDA'A BCW Arab Youth Survey, Arab youth consider India as a stronger ally than the United States. The survey, conducted by ASDA'A BCW, the leading communications consultancy in the Middle East & North Africa, revealed that 73% of Arab youth see India as a 'strong ally' or 'somewhat of an ally' to their respective countries, surpassing the US by a mere one percentage point (72%).

Covering the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, the Levantine countries, and North Africa, the study found that India is perceived as a top ally among young Arab men and women. The sentiment was particularly strong among UAE nationals, with 98% considering India an ally. Similarly, significant endorsement was observed in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with nearly two-thirds of youth in these countries viewing India as an ally. Notably, 84% of young Egyptians and substantial majorities in the Palestinian Territories, Iraq, South Sudan, Sudan, and Libya also regarded India as an ally.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Monday approved the draft of Delhi Grievance Redressal Rules, 2017 meant for addressing grievances related to Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) and Fair Price Shops (FPS). Delhi LG VK Saxena slammed the Kejriwal government in the national capital for not taking action on the draft since 2017.

INDIA AND Egypt signed a strategic partnership agreement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held one-on-one talks in Cairo on Sunday.

The strategic partnership agreement is a follow-up to the decision arrived at after the two leaders met in January this year, when El-Sisi visited India as the Chief Guest for the Republic Day celebrations this year. At that time, they had decided to elevate India-Egypt bilateral relationship to “strategic partnership”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the friendship between India and the US is a force for global good and will make the planet better as well as more sustainable.

Modi’s remarks came in response to a tweet by US President Joe Biden in which he said that the friendship between the US and India is among the most consequential in the world.

“The friendship between the United States and India is among the most consequential in the world. And it’s stronger, closer, and more dynamic than ever,” Biden tweeted sharing a video montage from Prime Minister Modi’s recently concluded state visit to the US.
