| 2 | MoD & BDL sign Rs 2,095.70 crore contract for INVAR Anti-tank missiles | Ministry of Defence has inked a contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for the procurement of INVAR Anti-tank Missiles at a total cost of Rs 2,095.70 crore, under the 'Buy (Indian)' category. The contract was signed by senior officials of the Ministry of Defence and representatives of BDL in the presence of Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh at South Block, New Delhi on November 13, 2025. The procurement of the INVAR Anti-tank Missiles enhances the firepower and lethality of Tank T-90, the mainstay of Armoured Regiments of the Indian Army. The weapon system is a sophisticated laser-guided anti-tank missile with very high hit probability. It is set to transform the conduct of Mechanised operations and offer operational advantage against the adversary. The procurement underscores the Government’s efforts to meet the operational requirements of the Indian Army by leveraging the existing expertise of Defence Public Sector Undertakings, along with development of niche technologies by domestic industries towards achieving Aatmanirbharta in defence. |

| 6 | Department of financial services launches Start-up Common Application on Jan Samarth portal | In a boost for startups, the department of financial services (DFS) under the finance ministry, has launched the Startup Common Application Journey on the Jan Sammarth portal on Wednesday. Backed by a model loan scheme, the initiative provides loans up to ₹20 crore under the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups which is under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. The platform integrates data sources such as PAN, GST, Udyam, ITRs, and credit bureaus, ensuring faster processing and greater transparency. Special interest concessions are also extended to women entrepreneurs and promotes inclusivity. The Jan Samarth portal launched in June 2022 is a one-stop digital platform that connects beneficiaries with credit-linked government schemes, making it easier to apply for and process loans. |

| 7 | Maha govt announces incentive scheme for sugar factories | The Maharashtra government on Wednesday announced an incentive scheme to encourage quality performance among cooperative and private sugar factories in the state. Six factories — three cooperative and three private — will be selected annually for awards. The government has issued a resolution in this regard. According to the government resolution, sugar factories will be assessed on nine parameters, including timely payment of the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) to farmers for three consecutive years, sugar recovery rate, incentives provided to farmers with high per-hectare production, use of artificial intelligence, maximum area coverage, low carbon emissions and high carbon credits, timely repayment of government loans, adherence to employee strength limits and salary distribution, and sound financial management. FRP payments will carry 15 points, while financial management and employee limits will have 5 points each. All other criteria will be worth 10 points each. |

| 9 | ISRO successfully tests main parachute for Gaganyaan mission at Jhansi range | Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) recently completed the main parachute test for the Gaganyaan mission- the crewed mission as a part of the qualification process. The test was conducted on November 3 at the Babina Field Firing Range (BFFR) in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, which is a part of the ongoing series of Integrated Main Parachute Airdrop Tests (IMAT). The main parachutes are deployed in a step-by-step process where the parachute will open partially, which is called reefing, and then will fully open after a predetermined period, known as disreefing. This process is carried out using a pyro device. |
