Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday distribute about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in Government departments and organisations under Rozgar Mela, his office said.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that the events will be held at 46 locations, with recruitments taking place “across Central Government departments and those in states/ UTs supporting this initiative”.

Department of Public Enterprises will organise a two-day CPSEs Roundtable and Exhibition 2023 in New Delhi today. The exhibition will showcase contributions of Central Public Sector Enterprises through their Corporate Social Responsibility activities toward strengthening public health, nutrition, education, and sports. 

The Finance Ministry said, the roundtable is being conducted to forge stakeholder discussions to improve social commitment, and dispute resolutions and enhance performance of Central Public Sector Enterprises.

Union Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister R K Singh said India will achieve its 500 GW renewable energy target before the 2030 deadline. After inaugurating the ‘India Energy Summit 2023' in New Delhi on Monday, he said climate change is a threat to the world. He stressed that India is committed to leaving behind a healthy and safe planet for the next generation.
 
The two-day Summit aims to focus on the development of an enabling Green Hydrogen ecosystem in the country. In the inauguration session of the Summit, Ambassador of Kindom of Belgium Didier Vanderhasselt and Germany Ambassador Dr Philipp Ackermann along with senior dignitaries were also present. India women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the final to win a gold medal in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. This was India's second gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games.

India and the United Nations launched a joint capacity-building initiative for the Global South on Sunday. The “India-UN Capacity Building Initiative” aims to share India’s development experiences, best practices and expertise with partner countries in the Global South through capacity building and training programs. The initiative was announced at the India-UN for the Global South in New York.

The India-UN initiative also complements the India-UN partnership in the form of “India-UN Development Partnership Fund” which has developed a portfolio of 75 development projects in 61 countries in the last 6 years.

Samiran Gupta, the head of policy for India and South Asia at social media platform X, has resigned, as per Reuters. This significant departure occurs in the lead-up to India's elections and amidst the company's ongoing legal battle with New Delhi regarding content removal, as per the news agency.

Reportedly, Gupta held the highest-ranking position for X, previously known as Twitter, in India, and was tasked with overseeing "critical content-related policy matters" and "advocating for Twitter's stance in response to evolving policies while supporting the local sales team," as stated on his LinkedIn profile.

Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer Marco Bezzecchi on 23 September took victory from pole position at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida and emerged as the winner for maiden Indian GP.

Spain's Jorge Martin finished second and France's Fabio Quartararo became the third to cross the finish line. The race winning trophy presented by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
