Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday honoured the people of the state who fought against the Emergency in 1975 at the Chief Minister's residence in Dehradun. The Chief Minister said, "The dependents of Loktantra Senani will also be given pension fund, for this a government order has been issued. The honorarium of Loktantra Senani has been increased from Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000. He said that arrangements would be made so that everyone can know about the contribution of Loktantra Senani of Uttarakhand during the emergency".

3 Arab Youth Survey Reveals India's Growing Influence as Strong Ally Surpassing US

According to the 15th annual ASDA'A BCW Arab Youth Survey, Arab youth consider India as a stronger ally than the United States. The survey, conducted by ASDA'A BCW, the leading communications consultancy in the Middle East & North Africa, revealed that 73% of Arab youth see India as a 'strong ally' or 'somewhat of an ally' to their respective countries, surpassing the US by a mere one percentage point (72%).

Covering the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, the Levantine countries, and North Africa, the study found that India is perceived as a top ally among young Arab men and women. The sentiment was particularly strong among UAE nationals, with 98% considering India an ally. Similarly, significant endorsement was observed in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with nearly two-thirds of youth in these countries viewing India as an ally. Notably, 84% of young Egyptians and substantial majorities in the Palestinian Territories, Iraq, South Sudan, Sudan, and Libya also regarded India as an ally.
