Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution is organizing a 'National Conference of Food Ministers' on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 in New Delhi. The conference is aimed at developing an action plan for the procurement of coarse grains during Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2023-24, discussing key initiatives undertaken by the Government for effective implementation of PMGKAY, disseminating best practices of States/UTs, and strengthening the focus on food and nutritional security.

Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Commerce & Industry and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal will chair the Conference. The Conference would also be graced by the Union Ministers of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ms. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Ministers of Food & Civil Supplies of States/UTs.

Shri Debadatta Chand has assumed charge as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Baroda (Bank) today. He takes over from Shri Sanjiv Chadha, whose tenure ended on June 30, 2023.

Prior to his appointment as MD & CEO, Shri Chand served as the Executive Director at Bank of Baroda since March 2021. In his role as the Executive Director, he oversaw Corporate & Institutional Credit, Corporate & Institutional Banking, Treasury & Global Markets, Mid-Corporate Business, and Trade & Foreign Exchange. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Sunday between the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy, and Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Ltd. for the planning, development, construction, and commissioning of a gallery at the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal, Gujarat.

The MoU was signed for the planning, development, construction, and commissioning of a gallery on the theme "Evolution of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard" at the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC), which is being constructed at the historic Indus Valley civilization region of Lothal (Gujarat), stated a press release from Ministry of Defence.

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will organize "G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the age of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), ArtificiaI Intelligence and Metaverse" on July 13-14 in Haryana's Gurugram. The two-day conference will bring together G20 countries, nine special invitee countries and domain experts around the world to delve into the challenges of advancing technologies.

Abu Dhabi, UAE - The UAE-India Economic Summit, themed "Fostering Synergies – Uniting the Falcon and Tiger Economies," took place on July 3, 2023, at the ADGM Auditorium in Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi.
