Union Health Ministry launches a learning management information system named SAKSHAM

Union Health Ministry has launched a learning management information system SAKSHAM, Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management. SAKSHAM is a platform for providing online training and medical education to all health professionals in the country. SAKSHAM was launched by the Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan.
 
According to the Health Ministry, this digital learning platform will ensure inclusive capacity building of health professionals. Presently, the platform is hosting more than two hundred public health and 100 clinical courses through online mode. Health professionals can register for these courses through lmis.nihfw.ac.in and get certification after undergoing requisite training and qualifying the required assessment criteria. The platform has been developed by the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi.



Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launches Harit Sagar Green Port Guidelines to achieve Zero Carbon Emission Goal

Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal launched ‘Harit Sagar’ the Green Port Guidelines at a function in New Delhi today. The guidelines were launched to meet the larger vision of achieving Zero Carbon Emission Goal set by the Ministry. Harit Sagar Guidelines - 2023 envisages ecosystem dynamics in port development, operation, and maintenance while aligning with the’Working with Nature’ concept and minimizing impact on biotic components of harbor ecosystem. It lays emphasis on use of clean or green energy in Port operation, developing Port capabilities for storage, handling, and bunkering greener fuels like Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and Green Methanol or Ethanol. 



New Delhi: ICMR successfully conducts trial run of blood bag delivery under i-Drone initiative

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Union Health Ministry today successfully conducted a trial run of blood bag delivery by drones under its i-Drone initiative in New Delhi. The inaugural trial flight carried ten units of blood samples from Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida and Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi. The trial run has been undertaken for the first time in the country by the collaborative efforts of ICMR, LHMC, GIMS and Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida.



India to become global leader in automobile sector in next 5 yrs, asserts, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that India's auto sector will be first in the world in the next five years, leaving behind China and America. He said that India has already surpassed Japan.

Mr. Gadkari said this while addressing an event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, CII in New Delhi.

Mr. Gadkari said that the government is focusing on implementing welfare schemes at the block levels to make India better.



National Technology Day: PM Modi to lay foundation stone, dedicate to nation multiple scientific projects worth over Rs 5,800 cr

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple scientific projects worth over five thousand eight hundred crore rupees on the occasion of National Technology Day in New Delhi today. 

Mr. Modi will inaugurate a programme to mark the day. This year's celebrations of National Technology Day has a special focus on Atal Innovation Mission (AIM).

The AIM Pavilion will showcase multiple innovative projects and provide an opportunity for the visitors to witness live tinkering sessions, engage in tinkering activities and witness outstanding innovations and products by Startups.



Telangana Govt introduces a Robotics Framework for providing roadmap to promote robotic ecosystem in State

The Telangana Government has introduced a Robotics Framework, for providing a roadmap to promote a robotic ecosystem in the State. This is the first-of-its-kind policy in the country. Under the initiative, the Government will set up a Telangana Robotics Innovation Centre (TRIC) to implement the framework which will focus on the key pillars of infrastructure access, business enablement, fostering research and innovation, development of a skilled workforce, and responsible deployment.
 
Speaking at the launch programme, IT and Industries Minister K.T. Ramarao said the framework will promote an innovation ecosystem that will help the State manufacture robots not only for the country but for the world. The State government signed Memoranda of Understanding with IIT-Hyderabad, AgHub of State Agriculture University, and a few others to enhance the robotics ecosystem in the state and promote innovation, research, and growth in the field.

The centre was inaugurated by Rajesh kumar singh, Secretary DPIIT, and Sunjay Sudhir in the presence of Kirit Bhansali Vice chairman GJEPC, Juma Al Kait , Assistant Undersecretary - Foreign Trade Affairs at Ministry of Economy, UAE, Srikar reddy, Joint secretary , Dept of commerce. Gem Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is India's Apex body supported by the ministry of commerce and industry.

Deepak Bhoria & Nishant Dev to play their quarterfinal bouts in Men's World Boxing Championships 2023 in Tashkent today

Indian boxers Nishant Dev and Deepak Bhoria will play in the quarter-finals of the Boxing World Championships 2023 in Tashkent today. Nishant will face Cuba’s Jorge Cuellar. Deepak will be up against Diushebaev Nurzhigit of Kyrgyzstan, and he will look to confirm a medal for India.

Yesterday, Deepak reached the quarterfinals of the men’s 51kg category with a 5-0 unanimous decision win over Zhang Jiamao of China. His compatriot Nishant Dev knocked down Nidal Foqahaa of Palestine twice inside the first minute to force the referee to stop the contest. He advanced to the men’s 71 kg category quarterfinal.



New Delhi: Mos Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar launches third phase of Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana

Minister of State for Health Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar launched the third phase of the Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana of the Health Ministry in New Delhi today. The project is being supported by Coal India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to commemorate World Thalassemia Day. She also launched the Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana Portal. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Tribal Affairs Secretary Anil Kumar Jha, and Secretary, of the Department of Health Research, Dr Rajiv Bahl were also present on the occasion.

 Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that causes the body to have less hemoglobin than normal. Health Ministry has been implementing the Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana since 2017 under the National Health Mission and recently completed its second phase in March this year.
