Chennai Super Kings win IPL 2023 beating defending champions Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets

Chennai Super Kings won its 5th IPL title by defeating defending champions Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the rain-interrupted match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad last night.  

Chasing a revised victory target of 171 runs in 15 overs against defending champions Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings reached the target in the last ball of the final over with the loss of 5 wickets. 



Union Minister Prahlad Joshi inaugurates 1st Mining StartUp Summit at IIT Mumbai

Union Minister of Coal and Mines Prahlad Joshi today said that, in last 9 years, more than 40 percent exploration has been achieved in country. He said, Area Under Exploration has increased to almost 2 Lakh Sq. Km out of total 4.5 Lakh Sq. Km mining area. 

Mr. Joshi was speaking after inaugurating 1st Mining StartUp Summit at IIT Mumbai today. He said, India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the world’s factory from the world’s back office.

Bandra-Versova sea bridge will be named after Veer Savarkar: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Bandra -Versova sea route in Mumbai will be named as Swatantra Veer Savarkar Bandra- Versova Sagari Setu.

He was speaking at an event on the 140th birth anniversary of SwatantraVeer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in Mumbai yesterday.



ISRO to send its GSLV F12/NVS - 01 at 10.42 a.m. on May 29 from 2nd launch pad at Sathish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota

The countdown for the launch of ISRO's GSLV F12/NVS - 01 began at 7.12 this morning.  ISRO will be sending the rocket at 10.42 a.m. tomorrow from the second launch pad at Sathish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle mission is designed to deploy the NVS - 01 navigation satellite weighing about 2,232 kilograms.

President Droupadi Murmu has welcomed the inauguration of the new parliament building. She said in her message that the inauguration of the New Parliament building will be written in golden words in the country's history. Her message was read out by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh. 

President Murmu said, inauguration of the New Parliament Building is a matter of pride and immense happiness for the entire country. Noting the parliament is a guiding light for the country, the President said the new Parliament building is an important milestone in our democratic journey. She expressed happiness that the Prime Minister has inaugurated the building. President Murmu said, the Prime Minister is the symbol of trust in Parliament.



ISRO to launch its next-generation navigational satellite - NVS-1 from Sriharikota today

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch its next-generation of navigational satellite NVS-1 at 10.42 this morning. The spacecraft is part of the Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) series, which aims to provide monitoring and navigational capability.

NVS-1, weighing about 2,232 kilograms, will be launched by GSLV F12 rocket from the second launch pad at Sathish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.



Railways Ministry says news about recruitment of 9000 RPF constables fake

Rail Ministry on Friday said that a fictitious message is being circulated in media regarding recruitment for 9,000 posts of Constables and Sub-Inspectors in Railway Protection Force, RPF. In a rebuttal, the Ministry informed that no such notification has been issued by RPF or the Ministry on their official websites or through any print or electronic media.

PM Modi expresses happiness over India’s longest sea bridge Mumbai Trans Harbour Link

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness over India’s longest sea bridge Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. Responding to the tweet by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. Mr Modi said it is next generation infrastructure which will boost ‘Ease of Living’ for people.

Recently, Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde and Mr. Fadnavis reviewed the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link bridge, which is expected to be thrown open for the public in November this year. Providing an update on the progress of the bridge, Mr. Fadnavis had tweeted that the sea bridge is almost ready.
