UAE participates in Morocco's Tan Tan Festival
The UAE is participating in the 2023 edition of the Moussem of Tan-Tan in southwest Morocco, which is held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
The Festival, which kicked off today and runs till July 12, is an annual gathering of nomadic peoples of the Sahara that brings together a large number of tribes from southern Morocco and other parts of northwest Africa.

Navy launches outreach programme in Ladakh for greater participation of youths in armed forces
The Indian Navy on July 6 said it has embarked on a multi-dimensional outreach programme in Ladakh, especially to ensure greater participation of the youth from the Union Territory in the defence services.
“As part of the programme, Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar will host various outreach activities on July 6 and 7 in Leh,” it said.
Second edition of Emerging Peacemakers Forum to begin tomorrow in Geneva
Geneva [Switzerland], July 6 (ANI/WAM): The second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum is set to begin tomorrow in Geneva, Switzerland.
The forum, which is organised by the Muslim Council of Elders, in partnership with the World Council of Churches and the Rose Castle Foundation, will run from July 6 to 14 and will witness the participation of 50 young people from around the world.
The second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum – which serves as a platform for dialogue among young people between the ages of 18 and 30 – aims to train future leaders in the fields of promoting peace and the coexistence of different societies.
Govt asks committee to identify orphaned
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has asked the Child Welfare and Protection Committee to identify the children who may be in need of help and support in difficult circumstances, officials said on Thursday.
Ministry officials said that the Committee has been asked to identify the children who are eligible for support in difficult circumstances under Mission Vatsalya envisages a robust ecosystem through the network of state and local governments to ensure the safety and security of children in the country.
World Archery Youth Championships: Indian pair Priyansh & Avneet Kaur win gold in junior mixed team compound event in Ireland
Indian archers Priyansh and Avneet Kaur won gold in the junior mixed team compound event, defeating Israel in the final of the World Archery Youth Championships in Limerick, Ireland. It was a nail-biting contest wherein the Indian players beat Israel with a close score of 146-144 yesterday, July 5.
India's Manav Jadhav and Aishwarya Sharma also won a bronze medal defeating Mexico in the cadet mixed compound event. The World Archery Youth Championships event is taking place at the University of Limerick in the west of Ireland from July 3 to 9.
Army organizes Civil-Military Liaison Conference
In Jammu and Kashmir, in order to promote synergy and coordination between the Government officials, security forces, and local population of Jammu Region, Army today organized a Civil-Military Liaison Conference at Rakh Muthi Military Station for leveraging Govt schemes toward Nation Building.

On the first day of the Space Economy Leaders Meet held in Bengaluru today as part of the G20 Indian Presidency had a discussion on the possibilities of bilateral partnership in sharing space economy.
The Chairman of ISRO S Somanath informed that partnerships between space agencies, industries, and start-ups were discussed during the meeting today. The discussion also covered the possibilities of the rule of law in space, guidelines and regulations in space missions, the possibility of upgrading the G20 Space Economy Leaders forum, and how to bring new countries into the space sector, helping them to build rockets and ground stations. The ISRO Chairman said that the theme of the meeting, namely towards a new space era -Economy, Responsibility, and the alliance was extensively discussed during the Heads of Space Agencies session.
Telangana Horticultural University VC named head of oil palm research panel
B Neeraja Prabhakar, Vice-Chancellor of the Telangana State Horticultural University, has been appointed Chairperson of the Oil Palm Research Advisory Committee (RAC) by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). She will hold the position for three years.
The 10-member Research Advisory Committee will guide the Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research (Pedavegi, Andhra Pradesh) in formulating its research plans, based on the problems faced by oil palm farmers.
