| 4 | Skies in Australia eerily turn blood-red. Here's what happened | The sky above Western Australia recently transformed into a scene from a science fiction movie, leaving residents and social media users questioning if they were looking through a digital filter. On March 27, 2026, the horizon in regions like Shark Bay and the Pilbara turned a deep, blood-red hue. This was not a camera trick or a cinematic stunt, but a powerful atmospheric event triggered by Tropical Cyclone Narelle. As the severe storm approached the coast, its intense winds vacuumed up massive quantities of iron-rich dust from the arid Australian outback, suspending it in the atmosphere to create an eerie crimson daylight. |

| 10 | A Spacecraft Is Falling Towards Earth. Here's How NASA Trying To Save It | An ageing NASA spacecraft is currently falling towards Earth due to increased solar activity, which has accelerated atmospheric drag. To prevent a catastrophic crash, NASA has awarded a $30 million contract to Arizona-based startup Katalyst Space Technologies to launch a rescue mission. NASA in February announced that its Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, which surveyed the sky for gamma-ray bursts for more than 21 years, was temporarily suspending most science operations in an effort to slow the spacecraft's orbital decay. The space agency then noted that stopping these activities was aimed at enabling controllers to keep the spacecraft in an orientation that minimises drag effects, extending its time in orbit. |
