As a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to boost career opportunities for India's youth under Skill India Mission, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) organized the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela, PMNAM at ITI College in Udhampur on Monday.

Several local business organizations joined the apprenticeship mela to provide jobs to local youth with relevant opportunities to shape their careers through apprenticeship training.

Exercise Cope India 23 has started between the Indian Air Force and the United States Air Force on Monday. This 11 days exercise is being held at Panagarh, Kalaikunda and Agra air force stations. The exercise aims at enhancing mutual understanding between the two Air Forces and sharing their best practices. In the exercise C-130J, C-17, MC-130J aircrafts are participating.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train on 12th of April at 11 AM through video conferencing. The inaugural train will run between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt. railway station.
 
The Railways Ministry said, regular service of this Vande Bharat Express will start from 13th of April. The train will operate between Ajmer and Delhi having stops at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon. The new Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance between Delhi and Ajmer in five hours 15 minutes. The present fastest train in the same route, Shatabdi Express, takes six hours 15 minutes from Delhi to Ajmer. Railways said, the train will improve connectivity of major tourist destinations in Rajasthan including Pushkar and Ajmer Sharif Dargah. It said, enhanced connectivity will also provide a boost to socio-economic development in the region.

India and Vietnam on Monday emphasized the significance of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and reiterated their commitment to resolving any disputes in accordance with international law, rejecting threats and unilateral actions that alter the status quo.
 
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held a delegation-level meeting on bilateral security cooperation with Vietnamese Public Security Minister Tô Lâm in New Delhi. In the meeting, both the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and improving strategic, security, and defense ties to maintain peace, prosperity, and stability in their countries, the region, and the world. In a joint statement, they informed that both the countries have also agreed to strengthen ongoing cooperation in exchanges, capacity building, and training of officials from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The leaders further reaffirmed the importance of maintaining and promoting peace, stability, maritime safety and security, and freedom of navigation and overflight in the Indo-Pacific Region. Both leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in their respective regions.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said India’s Policy is clear and we want peace but no one can encroach an inch of our land. He said there will be no compromise with the respect of our borders and security forces. Mr. Shah said this after launching the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ in Kibithoo village in Anjaw district in Arunachal Pradesh today.

The Home Minister said that security of the border is the security of the nation and keeping this in view Narendra Modi government has given top priority to develop the infrastructure of the international borders of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated President Droupadi Murmu who took a historic sortie in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam. In response to a tweet by the President, the Prime Minister said that this has inspired every Indian. He said, President Droupadi Murmu has time and again shown exceptional leadership.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised that wildlife and environmental conservation have shown good results in India where preserving nature is part of our culture. He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebration of Project Tiger in Mysuru today. He pointed at the culture of worshipping nature and Tiger in various communities in India. He also said Cheetah born after an interval of 75 years in India is a testimonial to improving biodiversity in the country.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh from today. On the first day of his visit, he will launch the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ in Kibithoo, a border village in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh. Union Home Minister will also inaugurate nine Micro Hydel Projects of the Arunachal Pradesh government constructed under the “Golden Jubilee Border Illumination Programme” in Kibithoo. These electricity projects will empower people living in border villages.

Today is World Homoeopathy Day. The day is observed every year on 10th of April to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy, Dr. Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann. On the occasion, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, CCRH under the Ministry of AYUSH is organising a scientific convention in New Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the scientific convention. The theme of this  convention is ‘Homoeoparivar- Sarvajan Swasthya, One Health, One Family’.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today inaugurated the 200th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Dayanand Saraswati in New Delhi.

On the occasion, Mr Dhankhar released postage stamp on the founder of Arya Samaj in the presence of Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan, Members of Parliament Dr Satya Pal Singh, Sumedhanand Saraswati and spiritual leaders Swami Ramdev and Swami Chidanand Saraswati.
