| 3 | DRDO Successfully Tests RudraM-II Missile | The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile today. The missile was fired at 11:30 AM from a Su-30 MK-I aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) off the coast of Odisha. The missile test met all trial objectives, confirming the effectiveness of the propulsion system and control and guidance algorithm. The missile’s performance was validated through data captured by various range tracking instruments, including electro-optical systems, radar, and telemetry stations set up by the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur and on an on-board ship. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, the IAF, and the industry for the successful test flight, highlighting the missile’s role as a force multiplier for the Armed Forces. |
