| 4 | IndianOil, BPCL and HPCL ink JV for Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG pipeline project | IndianOil , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) will be laying the world’s longest LPG pipeline from Kandla (Gujarat) to Gorakhpur (UP). An IOCL statement said that the 2,757-km cross-country pipeline will connect three major States with the west coast to reach LPG to 22 bottling plants of the three Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). A joint venture agreement to this effect was signed in Delhi on Monday evening. The Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG Pipeline is estimated to cost about 10,000 crore. It would be implemented by a Joint Venture Company of IndianOil with 50 per cent shareholding. BPCL and HPCL will have 25 per cent share each. “The pipeline will source LPG from three import terminals on the west coast and two refineries (at Koyali and Bina) and supply LPG to 22 bottling plants of the three OMCs connected en route – three in Gujarat, six in Madhya Pradesh and 13 in Uttar Pradesh,” an official statement said. |

The board of the bank in March had approved appointment of Makhija as chairman subject to RBI clearance. "We would like to inform you that RBI vide its letter dated 3151 May 2019 has approved the appointment of Rakesh Makhija (DIN: 00117692), independent director as the non-executive (part-time) chairman of the bank, for a period of 3 years, with effect from July 18, 2019, up to July 17, 2022 (both days inclusive)," Axis Bank said in a regulatory filing. Makhija has been an active participant and contributor to the industrial and technology sectors, both internationally and in India during his career spanning over four decades. |
