He said, new opportunities are emerging in the aerospace manufacturing sector under the vision of Make in India and Make for the world. He said, India can become a Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) hub for the aviation sector.

Addressing a virtual meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the agreement between Air India and Airbus, Mr Modi on Tuesday said, civil aviation is playing an instrumental role in the growth of the country.

2 Govt launches app 'Khanan Prahari' and CMSMS to curb unauthorized mining

The government has launched a mobile app namely 'Khanan Prahari' and a web app Coal Mine Surveillance and Management System (CMSMS) for reporting unauthorized coal mining activities so that monitoring and taking suitable action on it can be done by concerned Law and Order enforcing authority.

462 cases have been reported on the Apps till January this year. Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said this in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.

3 PM Modi to inaugurate national Aadi Mahotsav on Feb 16 in New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the national Aadi Mahotsav on Thursday at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda said, one thousand tribal artisans and artists from 28 States and Union Territories will take part in the festival. Mr Munda said, his Ministry is making all out efforts to ensure full participation and involvement of the tribal communities in realising the vision of AtmaNirbhar Bharat. The Minister added that the Aadi Mahotsav is a major platform to promote the tribal products into national and international markets. The concept of organising Aadi Mahotsav in major cities has proved to be a boon for tribal artisans by eliminating the middle men and providing direct access to large markets.

4 Egyptian President bestows Global Best M-GOV Awards on IIT Indore students

Students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, India, won AED 1 million by winning the gold medal at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Monday.

Niyati Totala and Neel Kalpeshkumar Parikh of The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, were awarded the prestigious medal by Egyptian President Abel Fattah Al-Sisi.

These students were the creators of the 'Blockbill' app.Blockbill is a blockchain-based receipt generation app that generates digital receipts for all of its users' transactions.

5 Annual festival of National School of Drama 'Bharat Rang Mahotsav' to start in New Delhi

Minister of State for Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal will inaugurate the 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav -2023 at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi today. Around 100 theatre companies likely to attend this annually festival. 6 Seventh flight under 'Operation Dost' reaches Syria with over 23 tons of relief material

The seventh 'Operation Dost' flight reached Syria today with over 23 tons of relief material. The External Affairs Ministry said, the relief material includes gensets, solar lamps, emergency and critical care medicines, and disaster relief consumables.

It was received at Damascus airport by Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment Moutaz Douaji.

7 Ramesh Bais appointed new Governor of Maharashtra; Former Supreme Court Judge Justice S Abdul Nazeer to be new Governor of Andhra Pradesh

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignations of Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Lt. Governor of Ladakh Radha Krishnan Mathur. Now, Governor of Jharkhand Ramesh Bais will be the new Governor of Maharashtra, while Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra has been appointed as the new Lt. Governor of Ladakh. Eleven other states' Governor and Lt. Governor also has been reshuffled.

In an official release of President's Secretariat said, Justice (Retd.) S. Abdul Nazeer has been appointed for Andhra Pradesh and Governor of Chhattisgarh Sushri Anusuiya Uikye will take charge of Governor of Manipur. Biswa Bhusan Harichandan will be the new Governor of Chhattisgarh. It said, Lakshman Prasad Acharya to Sikkim, C.P. Radhakrishnan to Jharkhand, Shiv Pratap Shukla to Himachal Pradesh, Gulab Chand Kataria to Assam, Governor of Manipur La.

8 India to organise 12th World Hindi Conference in Fiji

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in partnership with the Government of Fiji, is organising the 12th World Hindi Conference from the 15th to 17th of February, 2023 in Fiji.
 
The High Commissioner of India, Gopal Baglay, extended his warm wishes to the five-member delegation from Sri Lanka that will be participating in the conference. The delegation includes Prof. Lakshman Senevrathne, Prof. Upul Ranjith Hewawitanagamage, and three others.

The High Commissioner emphasised the importance of the Hindi language in bringing people from different nations closer together. The 11th World Hindi Conference was held in Mauritius in 2018.

9 PM Modi dedicates to nation, 246 kilometre Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of Delhi Mumbai Expressway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation, the 246 km Delhi - Dausa - Lalsot section of the Delhi Mumbai Expressway on Sunday. He also laid the foundation stone for 247 kilometres of National Highway projects to be developed at a cost of more than 5,940 crore rupees. The Prime Minister’s emphasis on the building of excellent road infrastructure as an engine of growth, development and connectivity in New India is being realised by the construction of a number of ongoing world-class Expressways across the country.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister expressed pride in dedicating the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the nation. He underlined that this is one of the most advanced expressways in the world which presents a grand picture of developing India.

10 PM Modi inaugurates year-long celebrations commemorating 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati; Says, uplifting poor & marginalised has become top priority of his govt
