Baba Saheb Ambedkar Yatra Bharat Gaurav Tourist train will be flagged off tomorrow from New Delhi on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The train will be flagged off by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar and Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern Region Minister G. Kishan Reddy from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in New Delhi.

Under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative, the train will cover some of the prominent sites associated with the life of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The seven nights and eight days long journey will start from New Delhi and the train will halt at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh which is the birthplace of Baba Saheb.

Nation remembers the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary today. President Droupadi Murmu greeted fellow citizens on the occasion. In a message, the President stated that BR Ambedkar's basic mantra - Educate, Organize and Struggle to bring the deprived communities to the mainstream of society - will always remain relevant. President Murmu also highlighted Baba Saheb's faith in the rule of law and commitment to social and economic equality as the backbone of the country's democracy. She urged citizens to pledge to adopt Dr. Ambedkar's ideals and continue to work towards creating an egalitarian and prosperous nation and society.

4 PM Modi flags off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train via video conferencing today. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra attended the programme.

The inaugural train will run between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt. railway station. The regular service of train will start between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt. tomorrow, with stops at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon.

The new Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance between Delhi Cantt. and Ajmer in 5 hours 15 minutes.

5 Govt organizes National Apprenticeship Mela at Udhampur under Skill India Mission

As a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to boost career opportunities for India's youth under Skill India Mission, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) organized the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela, PMNAM at ITI College in Udhampur on Monday.

6 Exercise Cope India 23 starts between Indian Air Force and US Air Force

Exercise Cope India 23 has started between the Indian Air Force and the United States Air Force on Monday. This 11 days exercise is being held at Panagarh, Kalaikunda and Agra air force stations. The exercise aims at enhancing mutual understanding between the two Air Forces and sharing their best practices. In the exercise C-130J, C-17, MC-130J aircrafts are participating.

7 PM Modi to flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train on April 12

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train on 12th of April at 11 AM through video conferencing. The inaugural train will run between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt. railway station.
 
The Railways Ministry said, regular service of this Vande Bharat Express will start from 13th of April. The train will operate between Ajmer and Delhi having stops at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon. The new Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance between Delhi and Ajmer in five hours 15 minutes. The present fastest train in the same route, Shatabdi Express, takes six hours 15 minutes from Delhi to Ajmer. Railways said, the train will improve connectivity of major tourist destinations in Rajasthan including Pushkar and Ajmer Sharif Dargah. It said, enhanced connectivity will also provide a boost to socio-economic development in the region.

8 India, Vietnam reiterate commitment to deepen strategic partnership between the two countries

India and Vietnam on Monday emphasized the significance of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and reiterated their commitment to resolving any disputes in accordance with international law, rejecting threats and unilateral actions that alter the status quo.
 
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held a delegation-level meeting on bilateral security cooperation with Vietnamese Public Security Minister Tô Lâm in New Delhi. In the meeting, both the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and improving strategic, security, and defense ties to maintain peace, prosperity, and stability in their countries, the region, and the world. In a joint statement, they informed that both the countries have also agreed to strengthen ongoing cooperation in exchanges, capacity building, and training of officials from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The leaders further reaffirmed the importance of maintaining and promoting peace, stability, maritime safety and security, and freedom of navigation and overflight in the Indo-Pacific Region. Both leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in their respective regions.
