In a recent development it has come to light that the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is preparing to introduce its Green Hydrogen Policy. This initiative aims to support the production of clean and eco-friendly energy in the state, this move aligns with the central’s government’s vision of making India the global hub for green hydrogen and its technology while addressing important issues like vehicular emissions and climate change.

In a strategic move to fortify logistical infrastructure at Northeast hydropower stations, RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Service) and NEEPCO (North Eastern Electric Power Corporation) have entered into a significant pact. The collaboration aims to streamline and strengthen the transportation and supply chain networks supporting hydropower projects in the region. The partnership between RITES, a premier engineering consultancy in India, and NEEPCO, a prominent power-generating company in the Northeast, signals a concerted effort to address logistical challenges hindering the efficiency of hydropower operations. By leveraging RITES' expertise in rail and transportation engineering, coupled with NEEPCO's regional influence, the collaboration is poised to make substantial strides in enhancing the overall logistical framework. The conclave 'Sagar Manthan' was arranged by Panchajanya weekly magazine on Sunday (24 December 2023) in South Goa on topic of Sushasan Samvad. Union minister of Minister of Road Transport & Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Tourism Mr. Shripad Naik and other dignitaries participated in this conclave.

Speakers discussed and addressed issues pertaining to the development of India in future.

Mr. Gadkari said that the direction of our social and economic change will be decided by considering the poor people who are standing at the last rung of the society as the center point. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur has said that India has been growing to a place where the world is watching.

Speaking to the youth after launching MY Bharat campaign, he said that the achievement of the Government has shown a quantum jump in development in all sectors. The Minister said that whether it is infrastructure, economy, or any field, the country has been witnessing a defining change in all sectors.

Elaborating on the achievements, he said that by introducing digital payments, India has become the fifth-largest economy and has registered 48 percent of such payments in the world. He said that the country which had just 500 startups in 2014 has grown up to be the third-largest country that has an ecosystem for start-ups. He said that India has surpassed UK and has become the fifth largest in the world. Mr Thakur gave a clarion call to the youth to contribute towards nation's development. He said that lakhs of youth sacrificed their life for an independent India, and now it was time for Indian youth to contribute and pledge and make it a developed country in 2047.

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today virtually launched MedTech Mitra - a strategic initiative to empower MedTech innovators and advance healthcare solutions. He said, it will be a game-changer for Indian MedTech industry and facilitate indigenous development of affordable, quality MedTech devices and diagnostics.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mandaviya stated that the medical devices sector is an integral constituent of India’s healthcare sector. He said, India is taking a holistic approach to health with a vision to transform the health landscape in the country by 2047.

Ukraine received $1.34 billion under the World Bank's public expenditures for administrative capacity endurance in Ukraine, the Ukrainian finance ministry said on Monday.

The ministry said in a statement the financing consisted of a $1.086 billion loan from the World Bank, $190 million grant from Norway, $50 million grant from the United States and $20 million grant from Switzerland.

The ministry said the funds would be used to partially compensate for non-security and defence-related expenditures of the Ukrainian state budget, including old-age social payments and payments to employees of the state emergency service.

"International financial assistance is a significant contribution to maintaining Ukraine's financial and economic stability and allows us to provide priority social expenditures during the war," Ukraine's finance minister Serhiy Marchenko said.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday announced that the state government will introduce a Rs 5 lakh accident insurance scheme and a state-run mobile application for the benefit of gig workers, which includes cab and auto-rickshaw drivers and food delivery agents. He also promised to extend the Rs 10 lakh Aarogyasri health insurance scheme for gig workers.

The chief minister held a meeting at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds with the gig workers — an extension of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s meeting before the Assembly polls — and said the government would keep the promise given by the former party president.

The Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Saturday launched Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation’s (KSRTC) new venture “Namma Cargo- Truck service” and flagged off 20 new cargo trucks.

The 20 fully-equipped trucks were launched with the aim of enhancing the non-ticket revenue of the corporation. Mr. Reddy informed that 100 trucks would be inducted in a month and 500 trucks in a year’s time. “Basaveshwara bus station at Peenya will be utilised as a depot for operation and maintenance of these trucks, and remaining vacant space will be provided to government companies to get commercial revenue,” he added.

The KSRTC also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KMS Coach Builders Pvt. Ltd. for lending its cargo truck services on a rental basis for a period of two months. Similarly, it has entered into an agreement with S.M. Kannappa Automobiles (P) Ltd. for a period of one-month, marking significant development in the transportation sector, KSRTC officials said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the first Intra District Chopper Service of the state from Bateshwar in Agra to Govardhan in Mathura on Monday.

The helicopter will fly from Bateshwar in Agra to Goverdhan in Mathura. A helipad has been prepared in Bateshwar village, 65 km from Agra city.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said that Atal ji was the 'Ajat Shatru' of politics.
